Făgăraș Powders Plant
Powder production at Făgăraș started in 1939. Between 1991 and 2000, there was a re-engineering of several production lines for high explosives. Also in 2000 a nitriding plant came into operation where TNT can be produced.
The Făgăraș Powder Factory has been operating under this name since 2006, after the separation of the Făgăraș Special Products Plant.
Since 2001, the factory is a subsidiary of the National Company ROMARM.
Făgăraș Powders Plant is the only manufacturer of high explosives and solid propellants in Romania.
